About
Greetings!
I'm Justin, a gameplay programmer studying computer science and game design at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Though I'm currently in my fourth and final year of studying game development, my history of making games dates all the way back to fourth grade.

I've had my eyes set on becoming a game developer ever since ninth grade after playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch. Easily my favorite game of all time, XC2 left such a profound impact on me that I became inspired to pursue a dream of creating similar experiences for others—ones that are so fun and yet so meaningful.
In each game I contribute to, I draw on my experience working across a large range of different game engines and programming languages, which has made me the quick learner and adaptable developer I am today. When programming, I focus on writing clean and maintainable code. I adamantly believe that readable code is a key component to enabling swift development and rapid performance.

When collaborating, I prioritize on fostering positive and effective teamwork, and valuing each and every idea. I've witnessed firsthand how the greatest things are achieved together, and that the best ideas can come from the most unexpected places.

In my approach to game development, my passion and aspirations lie at the heart of everything I do. They’re what drive me to always seek to learn more, improve more, and strive to achieve the impossible. With each project I work on, I aim to grow both as a developer and person, always moving toward my dream of creating fun and meaningful gaming experiences.
